Brief Description:  Final fuel system integraton and testing 1

Began final fuel system integraton and testing as follows:

1. Temporarily installed a 2' length of 3/8" hose on each wing tank outlet at the wing root. Supported the free end of the hose above the filler neck to effectively "seal" the tank.

2. Flushed the LH tank and calibrated the fuel sender on the Dynon by adding 1 gallon of fuel at a time until the tank was full.

3. Drained the LH tank and verified that fuel level gauge displayed "empty" once the tank was empty.

4. Repeated the same process with the RH tank, but a leaky quick drain valve was discovered.

5. The RH tank was drained, and the fuel leak fixed by resealing th quick drain.

6. Filled the RH tank again, 1 gallon at a time, and repeated the fuel sender calibration process.

7. Drained the RH tank and verified that fuel level gauge displayed "empty" once the tank was empty.

8. Replaced the 90 degree fuselage bulkhead fittings with 45 degree fittings. Connected wing tanks to fuselage fuel system.

9. Filled both tanks, checking for leaks during the filling process.

10. The fuel system is ready for the max fuel flow test.
