Brief Description: Fuselage final assembly - riveted foward side skin
Riveted forward fuselage side skins as follows:
1. Riveted bottom of the forward side skins according to Rans rivet schedule. Upgraded firewall (steel) weldment rivets to CCPQ rivets instead of AAPQ rivets for increased strength.
2. Riveted sides and inspection hole frames according to Rans schedule. Used CherryMax CR3242-4-4 oversized rivets along the upper engine mount weldments due to slightly oblong holes from the transfer drilling process. The CherryMax rivets are stronger than the CCPQ rivets they replace.
3. Applied Dow Corning 738 non-corrosive sealant to NACA vents and riveted in place with Avex rivets and aluminum washers on the back side.
