1. Selected a location on the forward fuselage section, right side. Ensured at least 1/4 wavelength of ground plane on all sides of the antenna. Drilled hole in bottom skin.
2. Fabricated a reinforcing plate to stiffen the skin around the antenna. One side will pick up the underlying frame structure.
3. Marked the floor inspection panel from underneath through the antenna mounting hole. Drilled hole in the inspection plate for the antenna cable.
