Brief Description:  RH wing - fitting of leading edge skin (2 of 2)

Completed fitting of leading edge skin on RH wing as follows:

1. Removed tank skin and temporarily fitted tank in to wing bay. Fabricated lexan templates for drilliing holes in tank skin for fuel vent and tank drain. Removed tank and set aside.

2. Transfer drilled holes from lexan templates to tank skin. Enlarged holes to proper size. Re-fitted tank skin to wing bay.

3. Marked spar reference line 0.45" aft of spar joggle and rib centerlines.

4. Taped leading edge skin down with strapping tape, aligning spar holes to 0.45" reference line.

5. Began drilling operation with a #40 drill. Drilled spar holes, beginning at the center and working outward. Drilled rib holes starting from spar and working forward.

6, Drilled all holes in spar and ribs to #30, except for the tip rib.

7. Fitted tip skins and aileron fairing, clamped and cleco'd in place. Drilled to #40, then to #30.

8. Fitted landing light mount into wing tip area. Drilled to #40, then to #30.

9. Cleco'd inspection hole rings in place on bottom skins - ready for drilling to #30.

The wing assembly needs the tank torqe angle, final drilling of inspection holes, cutting of the lanidng light opening, and fitting of the landing light lens. Once these items are complete, the wing will be disassembled for final prep.
