Brief Description: LH wing final assembly - leading edge
Fitted leading edge to LH wing in preparation for final riveting as follows:
1. Deburred, prepped and primed leading edge skin and associated components.
2. Fabricated a small plug out of .025 aluminum to fill the hole intended for the factory pitot tube. Fabricated a slightly larger backing plate and bonded the two pieces together using epoxy. Drilled three 3/16 rivet holes to attach the backing plate to the bottom of the leading edge skin and cleco'd in place. Drilled a 3/8" hole in the assembly as a mounting point for the Dynon OAT probe.
3. Attached the leading edge skins to the wing assembly using 1/8" cleco's. Attached inspection hole frames to the lower side of the leading edge.
