Brief Description:  LH wing - completed fitting of leading edge

Completed the initial fitting of the LH leading edge as follows:

1. Obtained a 12' piece of 2x4 lumber and tightened the bend in the leading edge. This took considerable pressure and resulted in a 50-60 degree "static" angle instead of the 100 degree angle as received the factory.

2. Attached the leading edge to the top spar and the top of the nose ribs with 3/32 cleco's and used strapping tape to align the spar holes on the line previously drawn on the bottom skin. Adjusted tape per Rans instructions.

3. Drilled from the center ribs to 3/32 per Rans manual, working aft toward the spar and outward to the root and tip ends, inserting cleco's as I drilled. Once the first few cleco's went in, the skin lay flat on the ribs. The bending of the leading edge and the previous trimming of the last tang on the nose ribs resulted in a much better fit.
