Brief Description:  Attached Steel Cabin Frame

So it turned out this really wasn't as difficult as I thought it was going to be when I first started.

Measure the distance from the top attachment on the fuselage to the first hole in that top gusset...should be something in the range of 5MM and also use a protractor to measure the angle. On the steel frame draw a line at the + or - 5MM mark and then draw your angle line. Make the cut but leave some meat on the bone. Do both top sides. Do the same thing for the bottom connections, again leaving meat on the bone and I also didn't worry about cutting an angle on the bottom as you can do that as you fine tune.

Mount the steel frame and get it in position. Use a sharpie and mark through the four holes from the fuaelage on to the steel frame. Remove it and note the difference between the marks you just made and the holes in the steel frame...cut off that amount from the TIPS of the steel frame. Then back on. Took me 3 tries to get it where I wanted it. Used a grinder at the end to get the angles pretty much right on. Clecoed then drilled #40 and up to #20.

Mounted the two steel gussets wth 5 holes on each end as well,,,drilled up to #20. Neec the long extendsion bits or angle drill for these.
