No big mystery here. Cover the two sides with masking take and draw the lines where the drilling is going to happen...then remove to drill to #40. Then back in place to get a hole on each side and cleco...making sure the bottom is lined up with the bottom of the fuselage/cabin skin. Then it's a lot of drilling and on and off. Once you have all the #40 holes drilled its much easier to remove the weldment and upsize the holes from the exterior.
Need to also add a 150MM L angle at the inside bottom and drill through the weldment, making sure to avoid the areas where the support flanges are on the weldment. Same deal with drilling, once you have it to #40 on the L angle...remove to drill the upsize from the exterior.
Lastly...we are heading to Cape Breton for the summer...back on the project early in October.
