A few days ago, while removing the main wheels and fairing brackets (U-0003), one of the bolts completely seized and snapped off in the bracket. You would be surprised how expensive these pieces are, so I ordered 2 just in case it happens again. I’m also getting concerned that I’m not going to have enough time to get everything completed before paint (May 6th). The wheel fairings are taking longer than expected and I still want to allow time to smooth and sand the canopy fiberglass, so I’ve been spending all my free time working on the plane. Anyway, I installed the gear legs back and with the help of Cyndi got it all back together and torqued down. I also pulled the nose gear to paint it, since my cheap rattle can paint was chipping off. I received the new angle pieces and prepped them as well for paint.
