Brief Description: Hack saw off starter lug (46-04)
A couple of steps before this were to remove one of the Adel clamps and add a spacer. Also, I checked the gap for the fly wheel and it checked out good. I did have to rotate the engine as prescribed, so I removed a sparkplug from each cylinder. It also says to remove the ignition module, but it was sufficient to just disconnect the wires and bolt to get the engine support installed (later). I had a little trouble getting the nut loose (bottom side). Every time I tried to rotate it the flexible connection wanted to flex, hmmm. I ended up taking the top bolt out and then I was able to grab the rubber center section while rotating the nut. Eventually I got it free. Next was to take the hack saw to a piece of my new and very expensive engine. Initially it was a little painful, but the aluminum lug came off pretty easily.
removed wrong bolt...shoould have been the lower nut
