At this point my avionics selections are set, so no reason not to start cutting out the panel openings.
- Made exact sized templates for the EIFS (MGL Xtreme Mini), Z-tron switches/breakers, and the Sandia transponder.
- MGL and transponder laid out fine. But the Z-trons were supposed to go underneath the MGL. Through my months of planning I neglected to take into account my center panel is shorter than a standard panel because of the piano hinges across the bottom (to make the panel removeable). So the Z-tron switches had to move to the right.
- I also remember there is a second hole in the oil sump plate (the optional aluminum one from Sonex) for an oil return or an oil drain plug. So I located it on the oil cooler shroud (photo 3), to be cut out later.
- I also ordered the rest of the parts I need for the fuel system from the firewall forward.

Center instrument panel. Had to move the Ztron switches over.
