Brief Description:  Cooling system work, rectifier reposition

49-04: Removed the Radiator and the connection to the FF-1208A Radiator Hose-Input so I could finish working on the Cooler Box Door Cable. As noted in the previous entry, I re-applied RTV sealant on the Cooler Box Door. I had to pry it open with a scraper. I think it looks better than before. Cleaned the firewall of BoeLube and sealant, and deburred the holes.

49-02: Disconnected the FF-108B Radiator Hose-Output from the expansion tank and removed the spring. Trimmed the spring so there will be at least 1 inch of tubing beyond the ends. I emailed Van's and that was the instruction they gave.

49-09: Installed the 3rd set of cushion clmaps on the Engine Mount Ring to hold the CT A-740 Black Cable. Trimmed the cable per the plans. Attached the cable to the FF-1210 Cable End and the Rod End and to the Cooler Box Assembly, and secured with cotter pins. After the assembly was completed, the knob is about 3/8 on an inch from the Panel. It springs back when I advance it. Not sure if the cable wire is too long. I could not get it to "look right" even after repositioning the wire and cushioned clamps. I'll decide later if I'll redo (shorten) the cable wire.

46-23: Decided to reposition the 965-349 Rectifier Regulator from the Firewall Shelf to inside the cabin and under the right side of the Panel Base, Removed the Cooling Fan from the top of the Panel Base on the right side. Placed the template on the top of the Panel Base and drilled the #12 holes for the regulator. Deburred the holes.
