Brief Description:  Hung Rotax 912 ULS

I was able to find 3 guys from the FBO to help bol the engine to the firewall. Brian Steed, airport manager and A&P, helped and gave helpful suggestions. Some of the engine mount bushings would not easily get in the EA 22002-15 Male Isolators. Sanded the inside of the isolators which helped, except for one. Eventually tried a press to get the bushing in but it got stuck. Cut the bushing off and placed the isolator in the right lower mounting hole until I can get a replacement. Installed the VA-216 Fuel Line Return Assembly after testing it by blowing air through the ends, per the plans. Torqued the Banjo Bolt to 90 in-lbs. Will connect the ends later. Inserted the pins from the the WH-RV 12-Ignition Wiring Harness into the A1 and B1 Electrical Connectors and connected the corresponding A1 and B1 connector housings. Routed the wires from the shielded ignition cable per the plans. I’m not quite sure about where to insert the wires in the connectors for the ignition harnesses. I’ll postpone this step until I’m sure.

SB 14-07-23: Replaced the original Rotax Throttle Return Springs with McFarlane PN 6818. Although the bulletin does not apply to the original Rotax springs, which I have, the McFarlane springs will allow easier throttle control.

N 14-05-22: Got a new F-1231F-1 Latch Plate to replace the one I ruined. Taped #4-40 the switch mounting hole. Curved the arm of the latch plate approximately 1/8 inch forward and deburred the edges.
