Continued with the work of the Canopy Latch Warning Retrofit notification. Routed the WH-00109 wire from the Panel Base and then down over the rudder wire way and through the tunnel to the back of the seats. I attached the end of the wire to a safety wire so I could go through tight areas and so I don’t have to loosen a lot of screws. I was able to pass the wire through the F-1204Y Wire Run Conduit and through the hole in the right F-1205B Roll Bar Attach Plate. Will continue with the hard part of the upgrade later where the wire has to be threaded up the roll bar and then through the hole near the cockpit eyeball light.
Went back to Section 46 and placed an AN3-5A bolt in the right upper hole of the WD-1201 Nose Gear Assembly to secure it to the firewall while final-drilling the other hole. Started to drill the left hole which was not easy and the drill bits got caught frequently. I used progressively larger diameter drill bits and it was still hard and slow. The bits got dull very quickly. I got tired before I could enlarge the hole to the prescribed size of 3/8. Will finish this at another time.
