Brief Description: FWF wiring, EAA Tech Counselor visit
45-05: Installed the painted battery channel and the R-00036 Fuel Pressure Sensor Bracket. Inserted the F 4 DTX-S Elbow in the bracket and attached the 101690-000 Fuel Sensor to the elbow. Trimmed the wires coming from the Sensor and connected them to the corresponding wires (same color) coming from the firewall penetration using butt splices.
45A-08: Connected the WH-P155 Starter Power Cable onto the 992 819 Starter Relay. Connected the female spade connector (crimped on the ORN and PRP wires from the WH-00063 FWF Harness) to the male spade connector on the Starter Relay. Connected the blue wire with a ring terminal to the bolt on the right side of the Relay. Temporarily taped wires to the Pitot Line.
EAA 242 Technical Counselor, Ken Harrill, came and inspected the airplane today and got good comments from him. He recommended crimping some of the butt splices some more and to use a better quality crimper. I'll get one from Stein Air and re-crimp the splices. He did not find any significant items.
