Brief Description:  Setting engine idle speed

I downloaded the Data Log file from Skyview to see the RPMs we had during the 1st engine start. The low RPMs were in the 1600-1800 range. Therefore, the initial settings were in the satisfactory range.

Rotax Line Maintenance Manual, Chapter 10.5, Idle Speed Adjustment: Turned the idle speed adjustment screw 1/4 turn CCW and started the engine. I'm still getting idle RPMs in the 2400-2500 range. Shut the engine down and rechecked the throttle connections to the carburetor. The CT-000101 Stop Nut seems to be preventing the throttle arm from reaching the idle stop. Loosened the Stop Nut screw and re-started the engine. This time I saw low RPMs, even below 1500. Advanced the throttle to increase the RPM to 2000 and then to 2500. Warmed the engine to 122 degrees F and then shut the engine down. I will need to turn the idle speed adjustment screw clockwise and set the idle to around 1600 - 1650 (per Van's MM).

During the engine run I noted the fuel pressure was low (between 2.1 to 2.2 PSI). I don't know if the fuel in the tank is low or if the cause is from something else.
