Brief Description:  Fixed Pitot System leak, Canopy Fairing work

PAP G5-1, 42C-10: Removed the FN4MC-2 Nylon fitting on the Aft Pitot Line from the ADAHRS. Trimmed about 1 inch from the pitot line. Installed a new fitting and also placed a plastic insert at the end of the pitot line. Applied Loctite 567 thread sealant on the threads and connected the Aft Pitot Line to the ADAHRS. Proceeded with testing for leaks in the system. First, I injected air in the FF-1216 Pitot Line to ensure there is no leak at the connections in the Tailcone (ADAHRS). There was none.

47-02: I then re-installedthe Pitot Tube and connected it to the pitot line via a new FF-1217 Pitot Interconnect made from clear plastic tubing. Safety-wired the Pitot Interconnect to the Pitot Tube and Pitot Line. Retested the system and there was no leak. It took several minutes for the Airspeed to drop by 10 knots and it took over an hour for the airspeed to fall from 120 knots to 80 knots. Secured the tubes and wires in the Tailcone and replaced the tie wraps I had cut to pull the Aft Pitot Line. Re-installed the spinner.

34-15. Sanded the Canopy Fairing to smooth out the epoxy resin microballon mixture that I applied last weekend. The fairing looks nicer but it till needs more sanding.
