Brief Description: Worked on Audio and Landing Gear bolts
Received my Aircraft Registration from the FAA in the mail yesterday. It took a couple of months and I had make a minor correction on the application before it was approved.
PAP G1-1: As soon as I arrived at the hangar I tested the radio. It is acting up again. Went into the Config Mode and Setup but I could not make it work. Not sure if the improvement after the addition of 2 wires to the GTR 200 backshell was coincidental. Obviously, the improvement did not last.
31B-17: Checked the headset jacks for continuity (short) and they are good. Will contact Garmin again for possible solutions to the audio problem.
MM 1-18: Shortened 2 wooden sawhorses to around 25 inches height to use to support the aircraft when it is raised for maintenance.
35-04: Bent a thin mini combination wrench to about 90 degrees to see if It can catch the nut outboard of the Brake Plate. Two bolts connecting the U-1220 Left Main Gear Leg to the Axle and Brake Plate are not tightening and would not unscrew either. The modified wrench could not reach the nuts. I will need to raise the plane and remove the left wheel.
