Brief Description:  Installed Aft Window

Placed old newspaper in the baggage compartment to protect the carpet from tank sealant in case it drips inside. Placed screws in the front of the F-1277A Aft Window and the Roll Bar. One of the screws broke while I was tightening it. Fortunately, I was able to remove it using a safety wire plier. The regular pliers were slipping. Tapped 2 holes in the Aft Window and Roll Bar to line them up better and make it easy for the screws to install.

Applied fuel tank sealant between the Aft Window and the F-1227 Fwd Turtle Deck Skins and then installed the screws that were spun in sealant. When it was time to “fillet” the sealant it was already rubbery. Removed as much of the rubbery stuff as I could and covered the rough edges with fresh sealant. It looks OK but would have been nicer if the sealant did not dry up so quickly. Cleaned the sealant stains on the Tailcone.
