Brief Description:  Purged oil system, Pitot system test

PAP G4-1, Rotax SI-912-018: Continued with purging the engine oil system. I could not get oil to come out of the VA-215 Oil Return Hose with the end of the hose above the engine. After much trying I was able to pull the Oil Return Hose to the right side and below the engine. This time oil drained from the hose while doing the purging procedure. Reconnected the Oil Return Hose and the FF-1218 Oil Tank Vent Tube.

Turned the SV 1000 EFIS on and played with the different modes. The oil pressure was at 3 (Red). Reinstalled the spark plugs on top of the engine and torqued to 180 in lbs. I did apply silicone heat compound on the threads.

PAP G5-1: Checked the Pitot system by injecting air into the Pitot Tube and then timing the drop in airspeed with a stop watch. I have a leak in the system and air speed consistently drops more than 10 knots in less than a minute especially at higher airspeeds. Tightened the pitot line connections including those that go to the ADAHRS and there was no improvement. I'll re-check the connections later.

Checked the brake line fittings that I tightened last time and I did not see any leak. Hope it stays like this.

I tested the GTR 200 Com again and it is still the same, weak sound with the active frequency and no intercom or sidetone.
