Brief Description:  Flight Controls and Systems checks

PAP G2-1: Flight controls checks. Moved the Stabilator to the full trailing edge up position and the distance between the AST and Stab trailing edge is 10/16 inch. I have 5/8 inch clearance between the bottom of the rudder and AST pushrod. With the Trim in "Nose Down" and Stabilator T.E. in the down position I have 1-11/16 inches between the AST and Stabilator T.E.

PAP G2-2: Verified Rudder movement with pedal pressure. The Flaperons move correctly. I have 1/2 inch below the trail position with the right Flaperon and with Flap Handle in the retracted position. Trimmed a little more of the upper inboard Flaperon skins to have at least 1/8 inch clearance from the Fuselage when the Flaperons are in the Up position.

PAP G2-3: Verified the stabilator Turnbuckles are safetied. While checking the turnbuckles I noticed a drop of oil on the right U-1203 Inboard Main Gear Attach Bracket. Tightened the AN 816-4D and AN 818-4D fittings slightly. Will re-check later if there is anymore leak.

PAP G3-1: The seat belts, both Pilot and Co-Pilot, are properly secured.

PAP G1-1: Checked the radio again and still have low volume at max setting when the MON button is not engaged. I spoke with the local A&P and he called Garmin. They said to make sure the intercom system is enabled. Intercom is enabled with the default settings but I'll double check. I also don't hear the sidetone.

24-04. While doing the Flaperon checks I noticed that I did not rivet 4 holes on each side fo the F-1270 Side Skins. I missed them after I attached the Tailcone to the Fuselage. Riveted the 4 holes on each side.

34-16: Trimmed and sanded the Canopy Fairing to get as close to final as possible. Applied epoxy resin to the angle at the right side because it did not adhere during layup. Applied Flox mixture inside the pivot holes to fill some areas that were not filled by the Canopy Foams. Will apply UV Smooth Prime later and possibly an epoxy coating over it.
