Brief Description: Reversed orientation of CPU fans
31B-05: There is a discrepancy between Sections 31 and 31B that was just released recently. The direction of airflow for the CPU fans is different between the 2 versions. I contacted Van’s and they said to follow the later version. Apparently, the plans were changed when the Skyview replaced the DEK-180 EFIS. Removed the CPU fans and reversed their orientation on the Panel Base. I also installed spade connectors to the red wire coming from the left fan and the WHT/RED wire from the harness. This is in the new plans but not in the old. I did not see a need to put spade connectors to the right CPU fan wiring.
While inspecting the fittings on the brake master cylinders I noticed slight leakage around the fittings, especially on the left side. I think I’ll have to re-bleed the brakes again, remove the fittings and re-install with fresh thread sealant.
Inflated the tires since the pressure has dropped significantly.
