Brief Description: Tightened axle nuts and Nose Fork Assembly
Tightened the Main Gear axle nuts following the instructions in the Matco Manual. I broke one of the cotter pin arms while bending it and will need to buy a replacement. Tightened the nut that holds the Nose Fork Assembly to the Nose Gear Leg. It was hard to get a force of 26 lbs to rotate the Nose Fork Assembly as prescribed in the plans. It seemed the assembly will get tight and then would loosen as the nut was tightened. I stopped tightening the nut at around 24-25 lbs. I may need to make adjustments later. Bolted the nose wheel to the assembly. Removed the saw horses supporting the fuselage and let it sit on its landing gear. This is a milestone.
