31A-03 -31A-06. Got the replacement ES-00081 Hex Standoff and screw from Van’s and installed them to the right wing.
31A-09. Inserted the right wing wires to the ES-00077 Floating 8 Pos Connector Female and then secured it to the standoffs. I had inserted one of the ES-00079 Floating connector pins in the wrong slot and had to extract and reposition it. This took some time since I had to figure out a way to extract the pin. I straightened two small cotter pins and used them to push the “hooks” in so I could pull the pin from the housing. Attached the WH-B216 Ground Wire to the inboard rib.
I repositioned the Molex housing to pass through the original hole in the right wing extension. This, in fact, is the correct hole because the wires from right wing tip light are positioned above the Light Mount Bracket. I covered the hole I created below the bracket to pull the new wires through with “high speed” tape. Secured the right wing tip light with the set screw.
Tapped the holes in the upper surfaces of the F-00034 Wing Electrical Brackets.
28-06 to 28-08. I mentioned in a previous log entry that the F-1259H Fuel Return Line Aft would interfere with the movement of the left Flaperon Pushrod Assembly. I removed it and fabricated a replacement. I had to watch the Homebuilt Help DVD to refresh my mind on how to flare aluminum tubing.
