Brief Description:  Right wing wiring upgrade

31A-06. Pulled the WH-B318 Strobe Sync Wire through the wing using a thin stainless steel wire and this was successful. Had more success using steel wire vs plastic fishing line. Tech Counselor Ken Harill checked the airplane today and did not see any discrepancies. He liked the quality of my work, so far.

31A-03. I screwed a Hex Standoff (with Loctite) to the inboard right nose rib and the screw broke while I was tightening the standoff with a nut driver. I’ll need replacement parts to complete the wiring upgrade in the right wing root. Crimped female Molex pins to the wing tip ends of the Strobe Sync wire and the WH-B203 Strobe Power wire and inserted the pins in the Molex housing to match the wires coming from the right wing tip light.

31A-09. Match-drilled #30 holes in the left and right F-1226 Seat Ramps using both a 12 inch #30 drill bit (inboard holes) and a stubby drill bit attached to a right angle drill attachment (outboard holes). I’ll need a stubby #19 drill bit to be able to final-drill the holes to this size. Will have to order this tool from one of the aircraft parts store.
