Brief Description: Fitted and trimmed Flap Handle Tube, etc
32-06: After some searching, I found the AN316-5R stop nuts needed to secure the rod-end bearings at the ends of the Flaperon Pushrod Assemblies. Made final length adjustments and locked the bearings.
32-08: Temporarily installed the Detent Bracket into the Flap Handle to check the length of the Flap Handle Tube. I needed to trim 2 mm from the tube to make the flange of the VA-110 Flap Knob flush to the forward end of the Flap Handle. Drilled a hole in the Knob and Tube and then secured with a rivet.
Made some final countersinking of the holes in he 3 instrument panels.
29-06: Temporaily installed the right instrument panel, lower map box half and the map box door. The door does not open fully due to interference by the door lower edge against the instrument panel. I checked my measurements and hole placement and they are according to the plans. I think the 3/8 inch distance between the holes and lower edge of the map box door is too much. I'll probably have to get a new map box door but will see first if reducing the hole distance from the lower edge will correct the problem.
