Brief Description:  Work on Rudder Tip Fairing

Trimmed/sanded the excess material from the Rudder Tip Fairing (R-1206). I used both a hand block sander and electric sheet sander with 80 grit sandpaper. Turned the sheet sander upside down, clamped it in a vise and moved the fairing back and forth over the sander. It worked well. The sander was noisy, though.

Progress was very slow, having to measure the recessed part of the fairing repeatedly, then sand, and then put on top of the rudder until the the edge of the recessed area became flush with the top edge of the rudder. Then match-drilled #30 holes into the fairing and deburred the holes and edges.
