Brief Description: Attached the AST assemblies to the Stabilator
Reviewed the plans from the beginning to see which steps I had skipped before and that I can now complete. Riveted the F-12122 Artex ELT Bracket to the F-1204F-R Side Aft Bulkhead. I tried the hand squeezer but it was hard to do because of the position and the limited space. Fired up the air compressor and used the pneumatic squeezer which worked very well. (Section 31-15)
Cut the AST hinge pins (SSP-090), bent the ends (one side each) and filed the tips. Attached the AST assemblies but on my first attempt I installed them up side down. On the second attempt, I positioned the bent ends above the hinge. On the 3rd try, I installed them correctly and safety wired the bent ends to the Stabilator Assembly. Also installed the screw to attach the 2 AST assemblies together. (Section 11-04)
Separated the F-1294C tabs that will be used to attach the Tailcone Fairings. Filed and deburred the edges.
