Brief Description:  GTR 200 and ADS-B installation

42G-02: Replaced the SL-40 BNC connector with an AV-BNC 1039-ND (Amphenol 031-320- RFX) connector that I got from SteinAir. I used a cable cuttter, also from SteinAir, and a wire stripper form Harbor Freight. I broke the contact pin on my first attempt to crimp it on the wire. I crimped too close to the tip of the pin. Fortunately, I got 2 connectors and had an extra pin. It went well afterwards. There was no problem crimping the Ferrule with the special crimping dies from SteinAir.
Tested for any short in the antenna cable and there was none. Connected the BNC connector to the back of the GTR tray.

Inserted the Garmin GTR 200 in its tray. Secured and organized the wires on the Panel Base with tie wraps. I replaced the cushion clamp on the left side with a larger one to accomodate all the new harnesses.

53-06: Installed the SV-ADSB-470 Receiver over the GTR 200 radio. Powered the radio and it turns on. I could hear the local AWOS but it is weak on Stereo but louder on Mono. I was using an old and inexpensive Flightcom headset.

The AST does ot move when the Trim switch is pressed (Up or Down). The Autopilot does not turn on. There are red bliinking lights at the back of the AP modules but no lights on the front. Skyview does not recognize the AP Knob Panels or the AP servos. More issues to troubleshoot and fix.
