Brief Description:  Collector tank install

Well I did it! I fixed my mistake with the collector tank. Somehow in the inverted construction process I got the belly skin flipped over... its symmetrical EXCEPT the large hole for the sump and the two bolt holes ended up on the pilot's side instead of the passenger side, which of course doesn't work due to the flaperon mixer being on the pilot's side... ugh.

Actually it wasn't too bad of a fix. I used some scrap sheet to make a template for the proper drilling location. I cut it to fit perfectly on the inside, maked the holes from the bottom with a sharpie, then drilled pilot holes in the exact center of the marked holes (or drawn circles). I then flipped it over and laid it in the opposite corner. I drilled pilot holes through the template, through the belly skin. Then I drilled out the bolt holes with a step bit and sump hole with drilled with the proper sized hole saw. It came out perfect, whew! I added some rubber anti-chaff backing where the tank contacts the seat bulkhead and the belly skin.

What about the original holes on the pilot's side? No problem, I'll rivet a cover plate on the inside and use it as a doubler for my ADS-B antennae... almost by design!! ;-)))
