Brief Description:  Milestones

More milestones. A very good friend of my wife and I, Sherry Hueler, paid us a visit. Like many friends, we spent a lot of time in the garage looking over the Savannah and talking big dreams. She really enjoyed learning about the process and pulling a few rivets :-)

Can you believe it?? The crate is empty!!! I still have parts laying around but I finally reached the point that I couldn't continue without making some room. I built hangers in the crate and slung the two wings and the horizontal stabilizer and elevator for transport to a friends barn until needed. This allowed me to set the fuselage on some saw horses and begin planning for paint.

I also began the challenging but fun panel planning process. After researching a few expensive software programs, I finally came up with my own $5 version. I cut out a cardboard template of the fixed panel, and the instrument panel in constrasting colors, then printed a full size color image of the GRT EFIS I'm considers, and full size cutout of every thing else. I'm planning on installing the glove box option with an iPad bracket mounted on the stiff glove box door. So far so good.
