Wow, what a milestone!! This is basically the last post in the "wing" category... yay !!! My garage is getting pretty full, I think my motorcycle is beginning to get a little worried ;) All the tail feathers are lined up leaning against the wall, both wings are hung in front of them. It turns out hanging the wings leading edge down while slung in cargo straps that are fastened to hooks placed in the ceiling rafters works out pretty well.
Now the crate/work table is cleared and cleaned off for the final structure. I'll probably look back at this post and groan with all the enthusiasm... they say when you are 90% done you only have 90% more to go! Still, It feels really good to clear the work area to set up for the construction of the final component, the fuselage. I'll start with the fuselage, then add the cockpit structure, put the whole thing on its gear, run all the control systems, then get the cockpit interior done, then instrument panel, then the little simple task of a first every Corvair engine install and cowling... Shouldn't take too long.... ;-)
