What a difference when you have a little experience!!! As I mentioned on the other wingtip, the manual simply says to "install wingtip" with no advice or technique. The first one was grueling and I had help. This time I was able to fit it by myself, even kept everything straight.... mostly ;-)
After getting the fiberglass tip wrestled into place, I was able to drill a couple of key places while holding pressure with body weight against the wing which was strapped to the crate/work table to immobilize it. After capturing the the postion with a couple of clecoes, the rest was simply drill and clecoe. This time I elected to drill one hole, then clecoe... drill one hole, then clecoe. While this was time consuming, I did a much better job of keeping any "wave" or bubble out of the skin. How will my Savannah fly since my second wing is much better than my first I wonder?? Will I be always turning to the right ??? :-)
