Brief Description:  Left wing leading edge

Whew !! So far this part of the build is the most challenging and nerve wracking. First I need to support the sheet in close position to the wing, then lay on my back and clecoe the bottom in place. Then extra long straps are needed to get the metal to begin to follow the curve of the nose ribs. Last time I had my now son-in-law, Laredo Shannon, to help. I've discovered that doing this alone is much more difficult! Once again I built a small fence to hold the trailing edge in place and left gaps for the straps to go under, this way you are not putting direct pressure on the trailing edge where it can be bent.

Considerable pressure on the straps in necessary to get the sheet metal to climb up that last hole's width or so. Patiently working back and forth with each strap, working from the middle outward, the holes finally lined up and clecoes could be put in place... Now all that's left for this step in LOTS of rivets !!
