I completed this a while back, but November was a crazy month with travel and other activities that I didn’t get to update the log or make much progress beyond this. Anyway, the HS is done, and everything went well. It is a little tedious to get in deep to the skins with the bucking bar and they are a bunch of rivets. Using the popsicle stick worked well to protect nearby surfaces, like the ribs, from the bucking bar bouncing around. The toughest part was setting #30 rivet in the center. Once you spend so much time with the #40 rivets, it’s hard to get used to how much power is needed to set the larger rivets. Plus, I needed to use the offset set to get in there, which is always awkward. I started deburring the parts for the elevators, but now its time for the condition inspection on the RV-12. I’ll see if I can get back to the -10 before the end of the holidays.
