Brief Description: Horizontal stabilizer spar, plus a little rudder2
With rudder1 complete I started work on the horizontal stabilizer. You really get a perspective as to how big this assembly will be as you try to maneuver it around in the single car section of the garage in order to deburr all the edges. I clearly will not be able to move a full assembled empennage in and out of the single car garage door. At some point I may need to expand into the other garage bays. The plan here is to get most of the components prepped for the next round of priming. Speaking of next round of priming…the rudder2 parts were delivered and I’ve already made a lot of progress on it. It is amazing how much quicker it goes having the experience of completing one already. I’ve also noticed that many of the parts are starting to come in pre drilled, which will be a nice time saver. Skin and skeleton are prepped and now need to put the assembly together to drill and cut trail edge.
