Brief Description: Back Rivet Stiffeners to Right Elevator Skin
I set up my back riveting plate sitting in a cutout in a sheet of cardboard so that the plate is flush with the surface of the cardboard. I then placed AN426AD3-3.5 rivets in all the skin stiffener holes and placed 3M packing tape over the rivets to keep them from falling out. I flipped the skin over and placed all the stiffeners in place. Using my back rivet set and the gun set at 34psi I proceeded to set the rivets and check each one with my rivet gauge. To reach the last rivet on each stiffener, I had to use a flat bar and grommet with a mushroom set to set these rivets because of the bend in the skin leading edge. I flipped the skin over and repeated the process.
