Brief Description: Clean, Alodine and Prime Stiffeners
Started the day setting up my Alumi-Prep acid bath and Alodine bath for the elevator ribs. Next I cleaned all the stiffeners with Dawn and a scotch brite pad. Rinsed them in distilled water and air hosed the water off for drying. Then, I soaked the stiffeners in Aluni-Prep for 3 minutes and rinsed with distilled water. After drying, I soaked the stiffeners in alodine for 4 minutes and rinsed with a light spray of distilled water from a hand pump garden sprayer. I blow dried the parts and called it a good day
