Brief Description:  Riveting Vertical Stabilizer Skin to Skeleton

I started the morning by clecoing the vertical stabilizer skin VS-801PP to the front spar and rib skeleton assembly. Using my rivet gun set to 34psi and mushroom rivet set, I started riveting the AN426AD3 rivets from the center and working out to the ends as called for in the plans. The tungsten bucking bar works great for reaching inside the VS. Once both sides were riveted, I clecoed the rear spar assembly to the skin and ribs. The pneumatic squeezer was perfect for squeezing the rivets along the spar. lastly, I had to install 3 blind rivets attaching VS-707 rib to the rear spar. I decided to use cherry max rivets instead of the LP4-3 pop rivets called for in the plans. That completes the vertical stabilizer. Now, I can continue on the rudder assembly.
