Brief Description: Riveting Vertical Stabilizer Spar and Ribs
Time to rivet the vertical stabilizer rear spar. I clecoed the VS-803PP rear spar to the VS-808PP spar doubler. Then I clecoed the 3 hinges VS-410PP, VS-411PP and VS-412PP to the rear spar. I taped over the holes where the ribs would be riveted later. Using my pneumatic squeezer, I was able to squeeze all the rivets for the rear spar. Next step was to rivet the the ribs to the front spar. I used my bucking bar and rivet gun to rivet the front spar VS-702 to the ribs VS-704, VS-705, VS-706 and VS-707. Now I'm ready to rivet the VS skin VS-801PP to the VS skeleton, but I will wait til tomorrow to tackle that job.
