Started on the rudder skeleton today. I clecoed the bottom rib R-904 to the R-902 spar and R-608PP reinforcement plate. I then enlarged the center hole in the R-904 rib flange to 3/8" Then I had to fabricate the R-917 shim that would fit under the rudder horn to compensate for the thickness of the rib flange. I used .032 x 1 1/8 aluminum stock to fabricate the shim. I had to radius the rudder horn at the top where it butts up against the rib flange so the holes would line up with the spar. I next clecoed on the R-405PD rudder horn with the shim under the horn and drilled all the holes to #30. Out of time for today.
