Brief Description: Relocate VP-X PRO Circuit Breaker Box
I had to relocate the VP-X PRO circuit breaker box further to the right to make room to accommodate the Garmin GDL-50R ADS-B IN box. This required fabricating a support angle of of 0.063 stock. One end attaches to the firewall angle using an AN3 bolt. I had to cut about 1" of flange off the angle and bend it slightly to to match the firewall angle. Also I needed to fabricate a spacer 10/32" thick to take up the space between the firewall angle and the support angle. I clamped everything together and drilled a #10 hole for an AN3 bolt. The support angle attaches to the sub-panel using an angle riveted to the sub-panel with AN470 rivets. With the angle fabricated and riveted, I located the 2 nut plates that would secure the VP-X PRO to the angle. I drilled and countersunk for AN426AD3-4 rivets. I will locate the sub-panel angle to support bracket hole once the top skin is clecoed in place.
