Brief Description:  ELT Mount and run Static Line

The ACK Technolgies Model E-04 ELT that I purchased is a 406 MHz unit that came complete with all the hardware to mount it. I had previously installed Van's AHRS mounting kit just aft of the baggage compartment bulkhead and this would be the perfect place to mount the ELT. I located the ELT mounting tray on the AHRS mounting pad and marked the four #19 holes I would have to drill for #8-32 screws. I drilled the holes, deburred and placed the tray in postion with the ELT clamps. I secured the tray with four #8-32 screws and locking nuts. I am still working on the antenna location. Later I will wire the ELT switch to the instrument panel. Next, I moved to routing the rest of the static line tubing to the instrument panel. I had one more 1/4" hole to drill in the F-705F channel. I drilled the hole with my angle drill and deburred the hole. I routed the plastic static line along the left side of the fuselage and coiled it up where the instrument will be installed. Last I primed the area around the 4 Click-N-Bond tie wrap mounts where I had scuffed the belly skin.
