Brief Description:  Fabricate Static Line Clamps

The static line that runs from the static ports to the instrument panel is supported by clamps that I have to make from .025 aluminum stock. DWG 25 shows the static line attach detail. I cut a couple of 1/2" wide strips on my band saw and deburred the edges. I found a 1 1/2" square piece of wood and drilled a 17/32" hole through the center of the block. Next I cut the block in half along the radius edge of the hole with my band saw. This would be my clamp making jig. Using a 1/4" dril bit and the aluminum stock, I clamped it in my would vise to make the 1/4" inside diameter. I bent the strip around the drill bit an reclamped it for the final shape. I did this for all ten strips then cut to length and deburred the ends. I drilled a #30 hole in the flange of 4 of the clamps.
