Brief Description:  Fabricate fusalage Brake Lines

The left and right brake lines are made from ATO-032 x 1/4" aluminum tubing and run from the landing gear weldment fittings to the fittings on the firewall bracket. Basically the same technique as bending the fuel lines, but easier since the tubing is smaller. I installed the four snap ring bushings into the wing spar cover support brackets. I used welding wire to give me an idea of the length of tubing required and it came out to 56". I can't flare the end until I feed the tubing through the snap ring bushing and through the landing gear weldment holes. I started by feeding the tubing through the snap ring bushings. Then I slid my 1/4" spring bender over the tubing and feed it through the gear weldment holes. When I was through and had enough tubing to reach the elbow, I slid the spring bender off and deburred the end of the brake tube. I installed the AN818 nut and the AN819 sleeve. Using my Parker flaring tool, I made the flare. The last few bends were made by hand to align the flared tube end with the landing gear weldment elbow. Next I slid the spring bender on the opposite end of the tube and completed the remaining bends out to the firewall fitting. I cut, deburred, flared and installed the brake line. I repeated the process for the right brake line. Later I will secure both brake lines.
