Brief Description: Garmin Gap 26 Heated Pitot/AOA Wiring
Previously, I had installed the wiring harness for the Garmin GAP 26 heated pitot/AOA probe in the left wing. I had alrady installed the heater control box to one of the wing ribs. I decided to use solderless connectors and loop the wire bundle to ease future access. Before I installed the connectors I cut short lengths of heat shrink tubing to protect the solderless connectors once installed. I used a larger piece of tubing to cover the hole bundle for added protection. Referencing Garmin installation page 4-3 for the wiring diagram I crimped on the 3 connectors and shrunk the tubing in place. I drilled a couple of small #40 holes in the rib and installed tie wrap clips with pop rivets. Using tie wraps I secured the wire bundle to the rib.
