Brief Description:  Rivet Aft Bulkheads and Tie Down Bar.

The quick build fusalage has the aft bulkheads F-712A and F-712B temporarily pop riveted in place. I drill out the pop rivet and removed both bulkheads from the fusalage. The F-712E tie down bar is riveted to the aft bulkheads as a unit. First I trimmed the tie down bar to length and shape called for in DWG 21. Second I had to tap the tie down bar to a depth of 1 1/4" using a 3/8 x 16 tap. I marked and drilled the 8-1/8" holes in the tie down bar. I clamped the tie down bar to the bukheads and drilled the #30 holes using the tie down bar as a drill guide. The rivets called for are AN426AD4-5. I countersunk the four holes. I installed the bulkheads into the aft fusalage and clamped in place to mark and drill the #40 holes through the skin. I removed the bulkheads and dimpled both the skin and bulkheads. I deburred, cleaned and primed the parts. I also cleaned and primed the inside of the aft fusalage in the area of the bulkheads. I clecoed the tie down bar to the bulkhead. Four of the holes are not riveted until the vertical stabilizer is installed. I installed the four rivets as called for in DWG 21. I clecoed the bulkhead assembly into the fusalage and marked and drilled the hole for the tie down ring through the bottom skin. I used my pneumatic squeezer and rivet gun to install the 2 rows of AN426AD3-3.5 rivets and for AN426AD3-5 rivets as called for in DWG 28
