Brief Description: Fit and Drill the Flap Actuator Bearing Blocks
The flap actuator weldment WD-613-EF is secured in three places by nylon blocks. One block at each end and one in the middle. The two end blocks F-661EF already have the center hole drilled for the weldment. All I have to do is mark and drill two #10 drill holes in each block for bolts that secure the weldment to the F-7050-L/R bulkhead side channel. The holes in the side channel are already pre punched. I slipped the two end blocks in place over the ends of the actuator weldment and placed the center block half in postion. I placed the actuator in position and clamped the two in blocks to the side channel. I marked the hole locations and removed the actuator weldment and the two end blocks. I set up my drill press with a fence and locator block to hold the nylon blocks in position as I drilled the 4 #10 holes. I checked the fit against the side channel and the holes lined up perfectly.
