Brief Description:  Rivet Flap Brace and Aileron Fairing to Spar

Today I will rivet the two flap braces and the two aileron gap fairings to the aft wing spar. Before I started on the riveting, I cleaned and then primed the aft wing spar and inward side of the top and bottom wing skin aft of the aft wing spar. Once the primer was dry I clecoed the aileron gap fairings W-724-L/R in place. The fairing to wing spar calls for AN470AD4-4 and -5 rivets. I used my pneumatic squeezer to set all the rivets. Next I would rivet the top of the fairings to the top wing skin with AN426AD3-3.5 flush rivets as called for on DWG 12. Once again I used my pneumatic squeezer. I clecoed the two flap braces in place and since this is a quick build wing DWG 14A calls for three CR3212-4-6 cherry max rivets the each brace root end and MSP-42 round monel blind rivets elsewhere. I started with the MSP-42 rivets first using my hand pop rivet tool and finished with the CR3212-4-6 rivets using the same tool. The last 6 outboard rivets I was able to use AN470AD4-4 and -5 rivets as called for in DWG 10A using my rivet gun and bucking bar.
