Brief Description: Insert Center Cabin Floor and Heat Baffle to Fusal
Now comes a tricky fit. I have to fit the center cabin floor and heat baffle assembly to the floor and firewall stiffeners. Using some 1/8" thick pieces of wood strips laid on top of the floor stiffeners, I placed the center floor/heat baffle assembly on the inside of the two floor stiffeners and the same for the firewall. I checked the alignment and moved as neccessary to get the position correct according to DWG 34. I clamped the assembly to the stiffeners and marked the hole locations for the 4 platenuts that would be required in the floor stiffeners. Using my angle drill attachment, I initially drilled the 4 holes for the platenut screws through the center floor and floor stiffener. I removed the center floor and installed the 4 K1000-08 platenuts with the screws to hold them in place while I drilled the rivet holes. using my pneumatic squeezer I riveted the platenuts to the center cabin floor assembly.
